With the sperm whale as its central motif, the work integrates iron and driftwood to form the whale’s body, intertwining nature, ecology, history, and industrial memories.

The whale's head incorporates the sun, moon, wind, clouds, water patterns, and Taikang's wildlife, including the black-faced spoonbill and pied avocet. A junk ship is embedded in the whale's abdomen, symbolizing the migration history of Luermen. The tail combines oyster racks, salt fields, and inscriptions in Taiwanese and Austronesian languages, representing the diverse culture of Taikang and the trajectory of industrial development. Inspired by the sandbar landscapes that emerge like whale backs along the Tainan coast, the work echoes local cetacean research and conservation. Through the image of the sperm whale, it connects the life stories of Taikang, sailing from the past toward the future.
